Next Two Months

I don’t typically post about all of Caleb’s medical appointments etc… 1. b/c he’s doing great and 2. Its all just a part of our everyday life, so it’s not all that exciting. That being said he has a packed full next couple of months, and my ulcer (self-diagnosed) is getting worse from stressing about them already! I really have no need to stress, I just hate it when we have hospital visits; and we have 2 hospital stays and one stay at the sleep study lab in our near future. By the end of August Caleb will have completed: A 24 hour video EEG, a follow-up sleep study and a Bronchoscope (procedure to look at airway / lungs w/ camera) this combined with follow-ups at all four specialist offices, one of which is the neuro-development specialist in which we have our official development test planned at this visit, stress me out!! Luckily, I do have a weekly apt w/ Caleb’s pediatrician which actually de-stresses me b/c she is very thorough but also realistic and she thinks Caleb is doing great, plus she will take the time to answer my 1,001 off the wall questions I found by searching the web :)

I really shouldn’t stress b/c he is doing wonderful and all the doctors / therapist also think he is doing great. I think that everyone is expecting to find huge improvements in all of the test. We have been told that w/ this round of test we just want him improved, it’s unrealistic that the airways will be 100% better (they say that takes on average 18 months), but I think / hope that they are :).
