HAPPY 30th NICK

Today is Nick's 30th birthday!!! I think it has started out pretty well, Caleb work up early @ 5am and opted to spend a couple of hours with daddy b/f going back to bed, just as it was time for Nick to get ready for work :).

Nick has also already ate a piece of his birthday cake I made last night. It's angel food cake w/ icing & Oeros(sp)..it's great. I had made it b/f but with cool-whip and since I can't drink / eat a lot of milk products, I made it with store bought icing that uses a ton of artificial flavors (yuck) but... it taste good :).

There won't be any offical cake / gift tonight as...the cake is cut and gift wise, he won't have much to open, he got his gift from us (the bike), his Mom came up Wed and gave him his gift from them then.... my mom & dad left gifts for him from them and Amy here last night.... they were opened w/i 10 minutes of Nick returning home from work. He's starting to take on my traits being married to me. When we were first married I always wanted (& still do) my gifts early, Nick was fine to wait; now... he likes gifts early also :)...

Carrie is dropping off her gift today, so at least he will get one gift on his actual birthday!!! (& it will be a surprise since he reads this blog maybe once every couple of weeks ;) )

He just wants to spend time w/ Caleb & I so we are going to get take out, early so we can all sit together and eat as a family... Maybe Nick & I will open a bottle of wine; I just found a great Pinor Noir we bought a few months ago I forgot about (I found it when I was pulling a wine bottle out of the rack to put the angel food cake upside down on :) )
