Daddy's Boy!

There is really nothing new to report, as we had a pretty low key week. It was nice to actually sit down on Mon & Tues and catch up on 24's new season (we missed it last Sunday so were a day behind). Its really the only show on TV that Nick and I both sit down and watch together each week, so I'm glad its back on, and I'm glad we had series DVR set up, as we completely forgot about last Sunday's premiere, hence we were a day behind this week.

Nick worked on the basement the latter half of the week, but the fun stuff (at least for him) of setting up the TV / Cable / Surround sound. And after 3 plus years of having our huge 65" TV on various tables in our room Nick finally found and bought himself a TV stand for it, it looks so much better!. (And yes, you read correctly it was in our bedroom....long story short, when I decided to buy a new bedroom suite a couple years after we built the house, Nick decided he got a new big screen TV if I got a bedroom set, already had one for the living room so it went in our room until now!).

Caleb was / is being a HUGE daddy's boy this weekend, wouldn't even let me put him to bed tonight. I am attributing it to the fact that this is the first weekend in months where Nick hasn't worked on the basement, we've been out of town or people have been here. Caleb got Daddy all to himself and was in heaven, me he gets all day every day so as long as I'm here, and he knows it he's fine. I did feel better when I ran errands last night and he didn't want to fall asleep until I got home.

Caleb also had a cold...again so we plan on making a trip to his doctor tomorrow unless it somehow gets alot better over night. This is our 3rd or 4th bad cold this season, but I figure we are paying our dues. Most kiddos get them all through there first year, but Caleb wasn't allowed to get sick last winter, so we were super careful about him being around other kiddos and he even got the RSV monthly shots. Well, this winter there is really no concern about him getting sick so we go to school, playgroup, library time etc... so he is around other kiddos at least 3 days a week and he is making up for lost time and getting his colds!!! Oh well, hopefully next winter he won't get as many since he will have paid his dues!
