WE CAUGHT UP!

So.... Caleb had fallen off his original growth curves during the course of his first year. He really fell at 2-3 months w/ all the hospital stays, started to fight his way back up only to have something (like c-diff) push him back down. For the last two months Caleb had been making good progress and jumping up some lines, but still was a couple lines away from his birth curve.

Well....... I always stressed about this and was told by numerous docs as well as his therapist some kids fall down a line (but Caleb had fallen more than a line, hence me still stressing)

At Caleb's one year apt this week we were all shocked but very happy to see all those 2 and 3 am request for milk was very likely a true hunger request as Caleb had a huge growth spurt and... caught up to his original growth curves!!! Yippee... He is now off the charts in height, 80% for weight (both of which is where he was born) and his H.C is 80% and the big one... His weight for height is at 50%!!! (this is the one that even worried his docs in the past as at one point he fell off the curve altogether) Yeah Caleb!!!

His lows were just below 25% for weight, just below 75% for height and the lower 5% for weight for lenth so... This is a HUGE Milestone for Caleb (for those of you wondering how I remeber....I have an excel file with the growth curves that I have updated after his doc apts, yes I am an anal Mom, but it comes in handy... a nurse was happy to learn I was a "Binder Mom" the other day :) )
