Nick has always found it somewhat humerous that in my family, birthdays are big deals, although I do think he kind of likes a big deal being made of his birthday also :). Caleb's first half birthday was yesterday, and of course..... it was a big deal :)
I of course, wanted to buy him a new toy(s) and take him out to people watch (one of his favorite activities) to celebrate. We decided to first go to Babies R Us and use our cart cover for the first time ever…. It worked out sort-of. I think it would have been fine had Caleb not been intent on looking @ the ceiling fans & lights. We got him his next few foods he will try (they are the only place I have found that sells stage one organic baby food in glass jars) and some new toys!
After Babies R Us we met Carrie, Matt & Michael for lunch at Champps, where I even let Caleb have his rice cereal so he wouldn't be the only one not eating. All in all Caleb had a great day people watching then coming home & taking it easy and playing. He is getting his top two teeth in now (bottom two are in) and they were bothering him a little but he still had a great (half) B-day. Above are some pictures from our adventure/celebration
