And....

The EEG is normal. This means everything and nothing all at the same time. It basically confirms what all of us that see Caleb every day know, he is going to be just fine. For Nick & I it is great confirmation that he will be ok. Essentially, it means (at least to the two of us) that the brain is healed; now we just need to continue to catch up and re-teach it all the stuff that was hurt. We have our download mtg in early August w/ the Neurologist but she called tonight w/ the results.


In other news… I switched Physical Therapist and met the new one today…She was wonderful & was very impressed w/ Caleb. She has 20 years experience and a doctorate in PT and the difference is amazing. We have some things to work on but…. She did say that although he’s slightly delayed physically, he is 100 times better than she expected given his medical history and that he has improved dramatically from his initial reports given by the drs & evaluation team. She sees no reason he won’t catch up ….she also noted that she thinks he is ahead of his 6 months of age cognitively, which has likely helped him a lot…..the debate is on if he gets if from me or nick. She said that his stubbornness has helped him catch up also (she noticed this in just one visit)…. I know most of you are thinking that one comes from me but trust me, Nick can be stubborn!!!
