Having Kids just over two years apart (27 months) can be very very trying at times, especially when you are dealing with a little girl who seems to be entering the "terrible two's" about 6-8 months ahead of schedule (& not just by my opinion, also by the professionals aka...Ped -- we've already started time-out as she KNOWS what she is doing & why...she's a little diva with a HUGE flare for the drama :) ).
However.... Times like the pics above make me soo soo happy that my kids are close enough in age to really enjoy each other. They really do have fun together and above all else, protect one another... I can't count the number of times I tell Erica "no" and Caleb says but if she wants to she can, I do".... They LOVE to play Caleb's favorite game of "chase" (aka - running around our house) and in the jump house together. A few weeks ago, they were in the playroom and Caleb said "Erica want to play dinosaurs?", she went into the toy closet and came out with one of the many pretend dinosaurs saying "roar"...my heart melted and Caleb got sooo excited and went and grabbed the entire bin for them to play with :).
Their all time FAVORITE place .... Caleb's bed. Nick and I get kicked out of any cuddle time promptly when Erica appears for "Caleb & Erica time". Just this AM, I was with Caleb when he woke up, E woke up shortly after & Nick walked in with her and if looks could kill I would not be writing this as I had a little girl who was not happy I was in "brothers" bed...It took about 2.2 seconds for Caleb to tell me "get out, Its Caleb & Erica time" and she was once again happy :).
