Day Out With Thomas

In June we finally made the much anticipated trip to connersville for Day Out With Thomas.....picture a glorified grocery store fair (that you typically wouldn't look twice at) but throw in a tent of toy train tracks set up, another with a gift shop all things Thomas, and a building that has model trains in it and you have a place both Kids thought was the best trip ever..... and a Mommy & Daddy saying, well I guess we'll have to go back next yr they had so much fun...but we can't quite believe we are saying that, its a definite "do it for the kids" type of event.

It was raining ALL morning and the train tixs are rain or shine (now that we've been once, we won't buy train tix in future and will rather buy the caboose train day of, hence we can look @ weather). The forecast did NOT call for a break and we had little boy singing rain rain go away and a little diva laughing @ him most the way there (until she zonked out for a nap). and....just b/f we got there it STOPPED. It was a humid sticky day but a fun one.

Erica jumps right now....not sure how older kids take her alot, she thinks she's bigger than she is and has a brother whose typically pretty tolerant of it so...she expects to be included :)
Very serious stuff here.....a thomas track we don't have (we have three types and vairous spots of our house...this is the old version of one, but to Caleb...it was one we don't have that the big trains fit on)

somehow...got them to both semi-smile and look @ daddy for a pic...if only daddy would remember to stand BEHIND the camera / phone when he's trying to help our with smiles...after 3 1/2 yrs of jt I've given up asking him to move behind me and am just happy he manages to get the smiles in the instances where I absolutely can't (they were crying for me in the pic just seconds b/f this b/c they did NOT want their pic taken :) )
