In the last two weeks Caleb has endured three viruses, an ear ache and asthma issues, yet whenever we ask him what hurts he says "My Toes!". Nick asked me the other day if he just learned where his toes are, no, he's known that for a while I said. I endured the kicking of cutting his nails, looked for hang nails etc... but his toes still hurt (or so he said, we didn't take him all too seriously)
I just took him into stride rite about 4-5 weeks ago, b/c I thought the 7.5 size tennis shoes I had him in were getting too small and he needed the size 8 (that I had already purchased at a buy one get one 50% off sale). We bought both pairs in and the associate said what he has on is fine, you have at least 6 weeks left , she didn't even have him try on the size 8's.
Today, I had Nick take him back into stride rite with me, b/c he seemed to be falling over his feet more often to me, which is a sign kiddos shoes are too small. We got a very nice associate and the mgr who both sized him and..... He's a 9.5. Yes not a 7.5, which he was wearing, or even the 8 I had suggested he needed just a mere 4 weeks ago but a solid 9.5, we even tried the 9 on but they said there just wasn't enough room so we had to go to the 9.5
Poor Caleb meant his TOES hurt when he said his toes hurt! He had a ear ache, snotty nose and cough yet he complained about his toes, so it couldn't have been comfortable. He now has the correct size and an added bonus, the new style we exchanged the size 8's for had a Velcro version that fit Caleb good so, as I'm in my last 8 to 9 weeks of pregnancy I won't have to fight Caleb to tie his shoes :).
