All Better!!!

On Monday, all four of us, went to Caleb's neuro-development appointment. It was quite the adventure....lasting 2 1/2 hours!!! but well worth it when the Dr. looked @ Caleb in amazement after the testing and doing the exam on him and said in amazement "he's all better -- look at him"

This is the neuro-development / genetic specialist whom originally diagnosed Caleb with Hypotonic Cerebral Palsy at 9 weeks of age. He is the guy you call in when the Dr's know something is wrong but they can't figure out what / why / underlying cause. I had kind-of resided myself to the fact that from this doc I would likely never get the "all better". He's a great Dr., he can just see / find about everything and anything that is wrong with a child. When we first met him he stressed to me that his job is to find stuff wrong so I had to always take that into consideration after a appointment with him. So... we were happy to get the all better :). We had already gotten it from his neurologist, but this Dr being the one who diagnosed him I secretly really wanted it from him too (even if I told everyone I'd be fine if I never got it).

I thought it was pretty cool how truly happy this Dr. was to see Caleb's progress. He shook both Nick & Mine hands and told us what a good job we did then stopped me on the way out to tell me how great it was and what a good job we did finding ways to help him, he really couldn't get over how good he is doing and how miracalous it was. He was so happy, you could see it in his face. He also told me that being the type of specialist he is, this isn't something he gets to see a lot of - a kid getting all better - so it really made his day :).
