Easter Fun

Some pics below of our Easter weekend. Caleb had fun, but I have to admit, I do think there are things in his basket that he still has yet to see / play with :). It was a repeat of Christmas, with Caleb opening 1-2 things being content and going off to play. The difference, is we didn't push him to finish opening this time, we sat the basket to the side on a end table in the living room and he occasionally goes over to see whats in there. (note: pics are in reverse order... I don't know why I can't remember the first one uploaded in the bottom pic on blogger...but I can't :) )

Dipping & Dunking the Eggs....Caleb took over Nick and I were not permitting to dip any, it was all Caleb :)

Painting the Eggs....this lost out to dipping pretty quickly, but he still had fun with it for a few mintues.

The plan....Egg Krispies... the end product, a pan of rice krispies that Caleb got to decorate, it turned out well, Nick got a big block of homemade fudge (I had made to dip the Krispies in) and Caleb got to decorate, which is his favorite part, look how proud he is :). I made the Rice (Egg) Krispies fat free so I could eat them too, and while they tasted just as good, they were extra extra sticky and forming them into eggs was just going to be too much work!! Once they were set, they weren't too sticky and I think Nick actually liked this version better (I used honey & FF sweetened condensed milk instead of the butter) as he ate these and he never eats the real thing when I make them.
